Split Rail Brewing Company is Manitoulin Island's first craft brewery, founded by two women entrepreneurs, Andrea Smith & Eleanor Charlton. The brewery produces high-quality, small-batch craft beer and beverages on the largest freshwater island in the world, Manitoulin Island. Committed to social purpose and are constantly reviewing how they can do better. The brewery focuses on using local ingredients, making responsible choices to lower its environmental footprint, providing living wages, and removing systemic barriers to employment.

Financing Need

Split Rail Brewing Co. received a loan from the Fund to purchase a canning line to expand capacity and improve efficiency during production.

  • Significant reduction in Scope 2 and 3 GHG emissions
