Lowlands Fire Food is a mobile catering trailer offering authentic wood-fired pizza located in Oshawa, Ontario. Using organic sourdough crust, local ingredients and a wood-fired oven, they are known for offering some of the best pizza in the area. They believe in creating a food culture that recognizes local farmers and builds awareness of the bounty in the St. Lawrence Lowlands.

Financing Need

Lowlands Fire Food received a loan from the Fund for a second catering trailer to keep up with production requirements and generate an additional revenue stream. 

Impact of Project Over Loan Term

  • Two jobs expanded and approximately ten new jobs

  • New local suppliers and an increase in locally sourced ingredients from farms in the area

  • Increase in sales and revenues contributing to their community's economic vitality

  • Increase in regional sales and revenue for partners at catering events
