Rooted Oak Farm was founded in 2017 by Nikki and Stuart Oke. With agroecology at the core of their principles, they’ve built a business that nurtures relationships between customers, farmers and land. They work hard to maintain the connections that exist in the farm’s ecosystem and to grow food in a way that promotes these connections. Rooted Oak grows three acres of vegetables and cut flowers, and sells their produce via customizable CSA baskets and farmers’ markets in the Ottawa region.

Financing Need

Rooted Oak Farm’s received a loan to help support their move to Ontario from Quebec. The loan went towards purchasing equipment for their on-farm cover cropping plan.
