Evermeadow Farm is a new regenerative, pasture-based farm in the rolling hills of Northumberland County of Ontario. The farm’s operations provide nutritious, ethical, and ecologically beneficial food, increase the biodiversity and productivity of the land, and help foster land-based lifeways. Evermeadow’s vision is to become a regional leader in beyond-sustainable food production.

Financing Need

Evermeadow Farm received a loan from the Fund to update their infrastructure, including a new walk-in freezer, electric fence around the property, large-scale mobile chicken shelters, and other farm projects.

Impact of Project Over Loan Term

  • Three new jobs created, and one job expanded

  • Improved soil health and biodiversity of the farm through rotational grazing, perennial pasture production, and silvo-pasture

  • Increase access to ethically and ecologically raised meats in the region

  • Increase is ecological resilience through enhancing ecological processes
