Vintage Soil Farm is a small-scale farm owned and operated by Isabelle Rodé in Kemptville, Ontario. After six years of working at small-scale organic mixed vegetable farms, mainly in managerial roles, Isabelle decided it was time to start her farm. Since 2015, she has received mentorship and training from strong, driven, successful female farmers in Ontario, British Columbia and Quebec. She focuses on regenerative practices to maintain the land's nutrient quality and health, uses actual horse-power instead of conventional machinery and contributes to sustainability within her community through food.

Financing Need

Vintage Soil Farm received a loan from the Fund to help round out start-up costs, including tools, equipment, bins, seeds, field implements, homesteader draft equipment and some working capital.
