ChocoSol is a bean-to-bar craft chocolate shop in Toronto, Ontario that works with local farmers and cooperatives to provide chocolate and coffee using ethical and sustainable ingredients. Financing Need

The Fund provided a loan to ChocoSol Traders to help them purchase new cocoa and coffee bean roaster and roasting equipment.

  • Increase in jobs with a fair living wage

  • Increase in sales and revenues for southern and northern producers

  • Reduced GHG emissions (45 tonnes) and fuel use (80%)

  • Increase in knowledge exchanges between north and south
