The County Bounty
About
The County Bounty produces artisanal farm-to-table soda in Napanee, using Ontario-grown fruits and herbs. They highlight the region by making unique and delicious flavours that are refreshing for any occasion. The social enterprise is built on a mission of supporting local farmers, businesses, and communities to nurture a food system in which the people who produce, distribute, and consume food also control the mechanisms and policies of food production and distribution. We continue to strive to provide healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods.
Financial Need
The County Bounty required a loan from the Fair Finance Fund to purchase a tunnel pasteurizer to help keep their production free from preservatives and improve efficiency during processing. The funding will allow increasing their capacity to support local Ontario growers. With the capital, they can bulk totes and store them at a local storage facility, helping farmers eliminate fruit waste.
