The Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), one of Canada’s six regional development agencies, delivers funding and business services that support innovation and growth in the region.

On February 27, 2019, the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, announced over $1 billion for FedDev Ontario to continue to foster growth in southern Ontario.

Recognizing the vital role rural communities play in the region’s economy, FedDev Ontario is dedicating $100 million of the funding over the next three years for rural projects.

Projects can now be submitted using a single application, through three simplified funding streams, which have been designed to meet the needs of businesses, job-creating entrepreneurs, innovation partners and communities. For detailed information on the new funding opportunities, including how to apply, please visit www.FedDevOntario.gc.ca.

To best target the new investments and maximize their impact on southern Ontario, FedDev Ontario is inviting everyone in the region to provide ideas and feedback online by April 30, 2019.
